It has been a great start to small business month. During the first week, I announced that our upcoming book #1 in the “Servant Leadership” series will be released on September 3rd, I trained a large group of mid-level federal government employees, at the Federal Acquisition Institute, that aspire to become senior executives, I registered for the Facebook Live training event in our nation’s capital I gave a one-hour presentation to confirm my active participation on the HCaTS contract in partnership with GSA and OPM (a national training solutions contracts for all government agencies to use for their workplace), attended the Howard County, MD, Chamber of Commerce new members breakfast, attended the Howard County, MD, Spring 2019 Entrepreneurial Celebration at Howard Community College to support student entrepreneurship, and lastly, traveled to Hampton, VA, to support my middle son’s graduation ceremonies as he earns his B.A. degree on Mother’s Day at Hampton University.

Whew! Sounds like alot?!? Not really. This is how small business owners operate everyday. It’s joy to serve, earn good pay, support others and embrace change.

The Joys of Coaching

By Kevin Wayne Johnson | Authors , Books , books , Christian Living , Christianity , Devotions , Interview , John Maxwell , Leadership , Podcasts , Religion , Spirituality , Uncategorized

This is International Coaching Week across the globe. Coaches help people to achieve their goals through strategic questions that brings out the potential that already resides within.

Unbeknownst to many of us, our goals, aspirations and dreams are achievable but we often need someone in our lives to help “push” us toward greatness. That is the role of a coach. I am delighted to serve in this capacity as a certified coach through The Johns Maxwell Team! It’s a joy to assist others during this journey.

You see, a coach will help you to:

a. See a problem through a different lens

b. Answer open ended questions to the extent that you will see that the answer already lies within you

c. Identify and address tough situations with tactfulness and grace.

As you consider a coach, how can I assist?
