In Orlando, FL this week to study leadership principles with John Maxwell and team. I have learned that leaders MUST value people and develop other leaders along the way. This is an excellent tool in my kit moving forward. More to come…
Shoveling out from the 2016 blizzard that dumped 2 + feet of snow in our area is truly a humbling experience. After 2 1/2 hours of shoveling around our home with my oldest son, we barely made a dent!! More work to do today. I don’t mind being sore after exercising for that long, but with each shovel of snow, I cannot help but think about God’s Word where He encourages us “To humble yourself in the sight of the LORD, and He will lift you up.” (1 Peter 5:6)
God also “Gives the humble in what is right and teaches them His way.” (Psalms 25:9) As we humble ourselves, God’s got our back. There is my comfort as I face all challenging jobs.
I look forward to this NEW YEAR. I am so exciting, that I have already begun to increase my prayer life with a renewed focus on results. God’s Word says “Pray without ceasing,” and in doing so God will respond in kind. He is listening…are you praying??
1 Thes 5:7
I celebrated a fantastic birthday this past week with lots of gifts, friends and family. The new birth, however, represents something new. Being a new creation in Christ is our ultimate goal in life. Salvation is key for all of those who do not know our Saviour. Each one, reach one. Tell someone about the new birth today.
Be grateful today for all of the manifold blessings that we enjoy from God. This includes good health, joy, peace, happiness, a sound mind, family, friends, financial resources, a home, food, clothes and comfort.
